On Thursday, June 23, 2022, Dasin went home to be with the Lord. His sense of humor was second to none and he was as compassionate as he was funny. He had an unassuming smile that could put anyone at ease from newborns to the elderly, everyone was his friend. He was a hard worker, a resilient figure in the face of adversity, and a giving/caring soul.

He had a fondness for music, mud riding, dancing, and being a prankster. He was the road captain of the Undisturbed Bike club. Dasin had a love for motorcycles, his bike bros, his family and friends, and making people laugh. Together they taught their children, Leah, Kaliyah, and Bria integrity, loyalty, and compassion, imbuing them with the confidence necessary to pursue life with a pervasive, contagious fervor. He was known as a “Jack of all trades”.On July 19, 2014, Dasin married Nakellea Parker at Lane Chapel CME. Dasin was employed at Pliler International as lead tech and later became an entrepreneur opening “Tha Shop. He later went on to further his education in 2012 at Universal Technical Institute in Irving, Texas for automotive and diesel technology. Dasin received his education from Southwood High School in 2003. He was a deacon in training, the Pastor’s assistant, the sound and auto tech, and a member of the male choir. His faith was later reaffirmed at Great Hope Baptist Church in Shreveport, LA. Dasin Martyze Newman was born on May 27, 1985, to Darnell Washington and Annie Newman.
